Releasing the Fragrance Conference: The Actual Event

Saturday the 10th of September, the weekend that has just passed, saw the launch of my new book, Spicing up your Marriage, at the Releasing the Fragrance Conference that I hosted.

We have had our annual Woman of Peace Conference entitled “Releasing the Fragrance” here in Port Elizabeth. It was an absolute joy to have all the ladies celebrate together and to experience the fragrance of Jesus through delightful dances from the Gelvandale Dance Troupe and Sam Jensen, as well as “heavenly” worship from Denise Steyn.

Our daughter-in-grace, Janine, gave a deeply moving testimony of how the Lord is holding her and Brett in the palm of His ever-loving hand, as they walk through one of the most difficult times in their lives.

Excitement in the Office!

We are so excited that the Sherpa sheets have arrived for the Spicing up your Marriage Book that will be launched soon! This has been an ongoing project, which seems to be coming to a close.

Our team here at the Family Life Center have been hard at work checking the proof sheets for mistakes.

It has been a long journey that God has led me on, and I am happy to say that I feel ready to let go, and print this amazing book.

We're back! UPDATE!

My apologies for having been so very quiet! Here is a quick update about what I have been up to.

It has been a hectic year filled with joy and excitement, travels around the Eastern Cape, as well as to Kenya for an amazing Woman of Peace experience.

I ministered at the launch of the Options Pregnancy Crisis Centre, in Knysna, with Errol Naidoo of the Family Policy Institute. Thanks to Iliana Efstratiou for a great occasion where many ladies’ lives were touched.

Next was a family camp in Bloemfontein. We did an Easter Family camp for the Agape Christian Family Church which is pastored by George and Mariolize Steencamp. They also have a Family Transformation Centre, led by Johan and Julie van Reenen, with whom we have walked for many years now. It is so encouraging to see how the Family ministry there is developing and impacting the city.

Lindah speaking at the family camp.

In April, we attended the church of the Nations (COTN) National Conference which was hosted by Hope Restoration Church, pastored by Chris and Phindi Mathebula, who are a spiritual son and daughter to us. We have walked with them for almost 10 years now and seen the church grow from 120 to over 4000 people. It was a delight to experience the powerful worship, anointing and servant heart of the people at Hope Restoration as they served us with such a spirit of honour and excellence.
I know that many pastors that attended were deeply touched and inspired by their victorious spirit. Thanks Chris and Phindi, we love appreciate you.

In May, I went to Hebron Christian church in East London, where I presented Song in the Desert at a ladies camp, starting Friday night and ending Sunday. In the one session, I spoke about the “Love Song” based on a prophetic word that God gave me. I shared a powerful analogy between written music and how God moves in our lives through the power of the song and the word, to move us from desert places to a place of springs. Women entered through the doors of Righteousness, Justice, Love, Mercy and Faithfulness and were set free from shame, hurts, bondages and strongholds.

The following weekend, Drummond (my husband) and I travelled down to Hermanus, where we had the privilege of ministering to the leaders in the Western Cape region who head up various ministries for Youth for Christ. Leaders came from Knysna all the way down to Cape Town. We gave input into their lives, ministries and marriages. It was wonderful to meet Chris and Linda Harding who are the International training directors from Australia, and Roelf and Lizzy Weichardt who are the directors for South Africa. We give thanks for Martin and Shannan Lord, Operation Directors at YFC. It has been a privilege to partner with them in family ministry around the nation. They have been so supportive of our ministry and distribute hundreds of our books to encourage all their associate ministries.

On June 24, Drummond and I travelled to Kenya for 10 days to celebrate the first anniversary of the church plant in Nairobi, led by Julius and Benjaline AKeng’a. We attended two large graduation services for about 600 prisoners, officers and Chaplains who have completed the Men of Honor and Woman of Peace courses. We then flew to Mombasa to launch a Family Transformation Ministries office with Ben and Valentine Nguti . They have been running Men of Honor and Woman of Peace courses in the area. We also preached in a church where men of honor has been running, and spoke at a couples dinner. The entire trip was such a blessing.

That's it for now. We have a lot planned for the next month, and I promise to keep you updated on the happenings. God Bless. Lindah.

Song in the Desert: The Big Day

So after all the hard work, everything came together so beautifully. About 250 women met together to celebrate the Presence of God. Let me share the pictures of our day together.
We began the morning worshiping together. The sound of running water filled the hall as we sat in the presence of God.
The women were able to walk around and spend time at each of the doors, allowing the Lord to speak to their hearts.
What a privilege to preach the living Word of God!
We shared a wonderful tea together and were spoilt with these amazing "honey cakes" that a very precious woman of God made especially for us ... it was a perfect snack in the desert :)
We were privileged to host a delegation from Kenya at the conference. I would like to dedicate one of my next posts to who these amazing women are and the incredible work that God is doing through them. Everyone was blessed by their testimonies.
We listened to a few womens testimonies of how God has miraculously seen them through desert experience. The woman below is Phindi Mathebula. She is one of my spiritual daughters all the way from JHB. What a testimony her life is. I was so pleased that she was able to join us and share her powerful testimony.
We shared the Word and prayed together.
And then we took time to be still before the Father to break bread and record what He was saying to each of us.
We ended the afternoon praising our awesome God!
Jesus, thank you for the hope that you always present to us. No matter what season we find ourselves in ... You are always there, leading us and loving us. I praise you for pouring your Word, hope and love over us. May our lips always have a song of love and thanksgiving to sing to you!

Song in the Desert: The preparation

Wow! God is so faithful! What a month September was for us at Family Transformation Ministries. There are so many things that I would like to share with you. Let me pace myself with one post at a time :-)
My key focus over September was our annual Woman of Peace conference which I always look forward to. The theme that God spoke into my heart this year was "A Song in the Desert".
As usual with me, what started off as a message in my heart, has turned out to be more than I could ever have dreamed of! I really believe that this one day conference is about to grow into a whole new seminar all on it's own. God began to show me so many beautiful, creative dynamics to mix into the message. I have so many beautiful photo's to share with you. I am going to let the photo's do the talking.
Stage 1: The Video Shoot
As a creative person, I always love to make God's message "visual", so we took a camera crew down to one of our most beautiful beaches to re-create a "desert" look. We put together such amazing footage of a woman's journey through her "desert experience" which at some point I will try post for you.
It was such a joy for me to have one of my daughter's-in-grace, Penny Robinson, agree to be our "actress" for the day! One of the highlights was the scene of her riding on a white horse - a scene depicting her rescue and deliverance. I really have to get the video clip uploaded for you!
Our team was absolutely incredible. One of the main points of my message was recognizing some of the doors that God leads us to in our experience in the desert. The team helped us load up our doors and set them up for the shoot ....

Stage 2: The Preparation
We then packed everything up and had the hall to decorate for the big day. I want to weep when I see the way God brings people together to impart His full picture. We had so many people who came to help and add their gifts to make this such a special day. Here are some of the pics of the hall being prepared ...
The men giving us a helping hand.
My amazing team of ladies from the Family Transformation Centre.
The door of Righteousness.
The door of Faithfulness.
The door of Love.
The door of Mercy.
The door of Justice.
Tomorrow I will post the rest of the pictures of the big day! For all of you who helped me put this together ... THANK YOU!!! You are such a key part of the success of the amazing day we shared.
Much love,
Lindah
